Carbonara Sauce

Make your own Carbonara Sauce with extra flavour


  • 150ml (5 fl. Oz) Avonmore Fresh Cream
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 100g (4oz) smoked bacon, cut into strips
  • 100g (4oz) button mushrooms, sliced
  • 300ml (11 fl. Oz) stock
  • 1 tabelspoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • Salt & pepper


  1. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan and sweat the onions and garlic over a gentle heat
  2. Add the bacon and mushrooms and cook for a few minutes
  3. Add the stock and bring to the boil, add cream and simmer. Add salt and pepper and add chopped parsley.
